About

Where We Are Going

The goals of the AKA are to aspire to apply karate in the correct context of the situation, be it Karate for self-defence, conflict management, risk avoidance, Karate for competition sport based athletic performance, Karate for psychological strength or health based fitness.

The logo of the AKA has the kanji (Japanese symbol) for 5 at the heart of the design as this represents the 5 founding members of the association, Senseis Emma Williams, Keith Williams, Matt Powell, Dave Galloway and Matt Smith
