Keith Williams bio Started training in 1982 Changed to paulsgrove karate club in 1984 Entered my first competition in 1985 First gold at competition 1988 Alongside training at paulsgrove I started training at Portsmouth, porchester and Brighton training up too 12 times a week 1991 Passed sho Dan in January 1993 Invited to the Seku instructors class 1994 Got selected to represent (Seku squad) at first national competition 1995 Qualified for the EKGB nationals (top 16 chosen from weight devision) 1996 Passed Ni Dan 1996 Took over the running of paulsgrove karate club 1996 Passed EKGB teaching qualification 1997 Got selected for world championships in santos Brazil achieving world silver medal 1997 Captained Portsmouth karate club for the first time 1997 Got selected for European championships in trnava Slovakia 1997 ( of which I went another 13 times ) Captained Seku for the first time 1998 First two students achieved sho Dan 1999 Passed San Dan 2000 Paulsgrove karate club achieved gold at national level under my leadership 2001 Started junior competition 2001 Went to Tokyo Japan, trained at the Jka Hombu 4 times a day ( except Sunday's ) whilst there given San Dan Jka 2002 Took over the basic running of the Seku squad and we have had many successes locally nationally and internationally since 2002 Marriage to Emma 2003 Nominated by Portsmouth news paper for sports coach of the year and achieved runner up 2004 Passed yon Dan 2006 Birth of my daughter grace 2006 Seku grading examiner 2007 Refereeing and judging qualification 2008 Formed Kokoro karate Kai 2010 Seku representative and Cheif referee at European championships is Slovakia 2012 Started teaching at petersfield and east meon with Sensei Powell 2013 Invited to the senior Instrutor panel 2014 Formed the AKA with my 4 best friends 2015 In my competition career I've had more then 2000 competitive matches over 4 decades with to many accolades to mention I've trained and had a taste of different arts ( boxing, kick boxing, judo, mma, etc)
